Telegraph Save 25% on UK cottage holiday breaks

CHALLENGE:

Create a great token-collect promotion for the Daily Telegraph offering savings on off-peak UK cottage holidays.

GFM SOLUTION:

Work with the market leader, Cottages4you, to offer the maximum number of cottages and available dates plus create a co-branded website where readers can view cottages' facilities and locations before booking. Readers were required to collect 4 different codewords printed in the paper in order to book online or by telephone.

PARTNER BENEFIT:

Cottage holiday brokers such as Cottages4you, benefit from such high profile media activity as it allows them to fill off-peak availability to an older Telegraph readership outside school holidays. Many promotional bookings were extended at normal rates as readers wanted to make their cottage breaks even longer.

RESULT:

Booking revenues of circa £110,000 with an average promotional rate of £250 per booking delivering strong results for the partner.
