GFM were asked to create a promotion for the launch of Fabulous Magazine in the News of the World. Fabulous Magazine was aimed primarily at women so we came up with the idea of a free dance lesson to trade off the popularity of Strictly Come Dancing.
We created a recruitment pack that was sent out to dance studios and academies across the UK. We also created a micro site which listed details of all participating studios to support the promotion.
Fabulous Magazine got a great promotion which traded off the success of Strictly Come Dancing.
420 dance studios took part in the promotion offering everything from Jazz to Tango and Bollywood to Ballroom. An average of 120 dance lessons were redeemed per studio. The News of the World supported the promotion with front page trailers and a TV campaign.
