Challenge:

To generate interest and incremental sales for New York’s most successful baseball team The New York Yankees.

GFM Solution:

GFM worked closely with the management of the New York Yankees to identify when spare capacity at the stadium would allow for a free ticket promotion. GFM created a Two Free Ticket concept and placed the promotion in the New York Daily News.

Partner Benefit:

The Yankees received massive editorial coverage in the New York Daily News including an eight page pullout featuring all team and fixtures list.

Result:

The perfect brand fit between the Yankees and New York Daily News resulted in 82 000 readers taking part in the promotion and renewed interest in seeing the Yankees live from lapsed fans.
